Stardew Valley: Symphony of Seasons

March 12, 2025 By news@kauffmancenter.org

The massive hit farming sim Stardew Valley is returning to concert halls around the world on its second international concert tour. After the overwhelming response to Stardew Valley’s first concert tour, Festival of Seasons, which sold out in record time, the music of Stardew Valley: Symphony of Seasons will be presented in the Muriel Kauffman Theatre at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts on Nov. 2, 2025.

This brand-new concert features a 35-piece orchestra and will include all-new arrangements of music from the popular game. Accompanied by a screen above the stage featuring gameplay from Stardew Valley, fans can also expect to see original content created exclusively for the concert under the supervision of creator and composer ConcernedApe.

From Pelican Town to the Skull Cavern, Ginger Island to Calico Desert, and the Submarine to the Wizard’s Tower, concertgoers can look forward to hearing the game’s most popular songs as they watch their farm grow throughout the seasons. Once again, fans are encouraged to come dressed in their best Stardew Valley cosplay in celebration of the game, and new exclusive merchandise will also be available for purchase.

Happy Together Tour 2025

March 12, 2025 By news@kauffmancenter.org

2025 will mark the 16th year of the highly successful, hit-filled summer package, Happy Together Tour. The touring sensation that has crisscrossed the nation delighting audiences for over a decade returns this summer with a show full of chart-topping hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s – an undeniable 55 Billboard “Top 40” smashes. The Tour is once again joined by The Turtles, who also act as musical hosts for the evening. Along with The Turtles will be Jay and the Americans, Little Anthony, Gary Puckett and The Union Gap, The Vogues, and The Cowsills.

The Turtles are best known for their harmony-heavy California pop sound. With such hits as “Elenore,” “She’d Rather Be with Me,” “It Ain’t Me Babe,” “You Showed Me” and the title of the tour, “Happy Together,” the band ruled the airwaves in the late ‘60s. Jay and the Americans reached the musical heights with hits from 1962 – 1971. This group charted an amazing Five Billboard “Top 10” hits and Twelve “Top 20” hit records, including their breakout hit She Cried. The tour also features Little Anthony, featuring all his timeless classics, including: “Tears on My Pillow,” “Shimmy, Shimmy Ko-Ko Bop,” “I’m on the Outside (Looking In),” “Goin’ Out of My Head,” “Take Me Back,” “Hurt So Bad” and more.

I’m With Her – Wild and Clear and Blue 2025

March 12, 2025 By news@kauffmancenter.org

I’m With Her is a band rooted in a rare alchemy: three celebrated songwriters coming together to create music that reveals entirely new possibilities in their distinct and deep-seated talents. Since forming, Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O’Donovan and Sara Watkins have imbued their songs with a sharply detailed lyricism, graceful musicianship and mesmerizing harmonies that endlessly reflect their extraordinary chemistry.

Since delivering their critically lauded debut See You Around and standalone singles like “Call My Name” (winner of the 2020 Grammy for Best American Roots Song), the trio have routinely taken time out from their individual careers to dream up songs together — eventually arriving at a new album exploring themes of ancestry, lineage and the collective human experience. On their long-awaited sophomore LP Wild and Clear and Blue, I’m With Her now bring their luminous harmonies to a soul-searching body of work about reaching into the past, navigating a chaotic present and bravely moving forward into the unknown.

In a departure from the stripped-back intimacy of See You Around — a 2018 release that turned up on best-of-the-year lists from the likes of The New York Times — Wild and Clear and Blue centers on a far more elaborate sound informed by the trio’s intensified sense of musical kinship. All multi-Grammy-winners with deep roots in the folk scene, Watkins, Jarosz and O’Donovan first discovered their near-telepathic chemistry during an impromptu performance at the 2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival, then co-founded I’m With Her and began touring extensively and performing at acclaimed festivals across the globe.
