    Welcome!

For a lot of people, art and the church don’t really belong together. Something has caused our imaginations regarding faith and art to segregate the two. We may not always be aware of the separation, but since we moved to Kansas City’s art district and opened our gallery, we’ve discovered that for many of us — it’s there.

We, of course, believe that not only can the church and art get along…but they are actually meant to be together in a seamless relationship. We’re happy to include art in our Sunday gatherings and we’re proud to offer works of beauty and creativity with no overt agenda attached.

In a subtle way, redeeming the fragile and somewhat shattered relationship between art and faith is one important task of our church.

Please feel welcome to join us in worship, visit our gallery, ask questions, give answers, and engage us as we continue in our particular expression of the local church.

      KINDRA BACK SHOWCASE

May 1 & June 5, 2026 | 6–9pm This body of work explores the tension between faith and lived experience. Rich with fine lines of gold and luminous color, these pieces were created during an emotionally dark season of Back's life — a time marked by betrayal, hypocrisy, and the distortion of scripture. Through that darkness, she embarked on a soul search for truth that was unwavering, trustworthy, and pure. Each piece contains what Back calls "islands" — forms that are related but never quite touching. Her work emerges from the subconscious, holding the tension of what she knows to be true of God’s character and her experience of the failure and weakness of man.
