Natalia Lafourcade is a Mexican composer, artist, singer and music producer, recognized as one of the most influential voices in Latin popular culture of this century. She began writing songs at an early age and launched her first solo album in 2002. Throughout her nearly 20-year career she has been part of countless musical projects and among her most popular songs are “En el 2000,” “Un derecho de nacimiento,” “Hasta la Raíz,” “Nunca es suficiente,” “Tú sí sabes quererme” and “De todas las flores,” among others.
In her last 2017 – 2020 tour she offered nearly 250 concerts in Mexico, North America, Latin America and Europe. She gave two unprecedented tours of historically significant theaters throughout the Mexican territory. She has performed in national and international festivals as well as iconic venues like Lincoln Center in New York City, Koko in London and the Bataclán in Paris. She has appeared on well-known U.S. television and radio programs such as Austin City Limits, NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concerts” and “Live from Here” with Chris Thile.
Her unique style reflects a constant exploration within pop, jazz and Mexican/Latin American folklore. She has participated in prominent events, from Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy and performances at the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards and the Goya Awards.
