Have you ever wanted to learn a Kansas City tradition? Monday nights at 1739 Gallery, CeCe Queen teaches
novices or advanced 2‑steppers (looking to enhance or brush up on their skills) the art and seduction of
2‑stepping! Class is from 7pm — 9pm and cost is $10.

Have you ever wanted to let your inhibitions go and workout at the same time? Jenny Q teaches a Heels Class @1739 Gallery that can help you do just that! From warm-ups, to learning a sexy sultry dance to the cool down… you also have the opportunity at the end of each class to showcase your skills on camera if you
choose. Every Thursday from 8:30pm-10pm, cost is $15. Venmo is strongly suqqested @jennyquez!

Infused Step Aerobics Class @ 1739 Gallery

Ready to get healthy and have fun at the same time? Every Thursday from 6:30pm‑7:30pm Tina Smith with
BareBody Fitness has a “Heels Up Toes Down” R&B Infused Step Aerobics Class that will get you moving,
grooving, laughing and sweating at the same time! All you need to bring is some water, tennis shoes and a friend!!!

Cost is $10/class or you may purchase a punch card $40/5 classes or $80/10 classes.

Solo Exhibition: Troy Swangstu

Paola, Kansas-based painter, Swangstu is bringing us fresh work inspired by his daily observations: In the words of the artist:
“I believe that a good painting always begins with an experience or an accumulation of experiences.
When my life became focused on farming in my early thirties, I was desperate to reconnect with art, and the stuff of my everyday life was the most obvious resource for subject matter. Working with cattle, bulls became a symbol for the fertility of the entire herd, and so it became in my work. The bulls became increasingly stylized, increasingly remote from the source of inspiration, not an animal observed, but a symbol projected. Dogs, another constant fixture of farm living, became the bull’s nemesis, eventually transforming from domestic animals to wolf-like symbols of predation. My color palettes range from the earthen to the hyper-saturated, and the choices I make in this regard are as intuitive and emotionally charged as my relationships with my subjects. ”
