FIRST FRIDAY: MARCH 6, 2026 | 5 – 9PM
Featuring: “GET WILD.” — Rachelle Gardner Roe & “Beyond the Void” — M. Willie Garcia — 2 exhibitions at the Bunker Center for the Arts from Feb to the end of March.
M.Willie Garcia: “Beyond the Void” is a series of works that investigates the unknown, both cosmically and within the self. Drawing on the realms of quantum mechanics, cosmology and astrophysics.
Rachelle Gardner-Roe: “GET WILD” presents the Kansas City debut of select paintings from her recent solo museum exhibition at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.
Join the artists from 5 – 9 p.m. on First Friday to celebrate this incredible exhibition of their works spanning all three of the front galleries. Vegan allergen-free refreshments will be provided by the Littlest Bakeshop. Free ample parking on and off-street.

Water plays a pivotal role in Asian American culture often representing the essence of life, cleansing and adaptability. Exploring the multi-faceted conversations around water from cultural symbology to the experiences of crossing the ocean. Asian American identities are fluid in how they are constantly changing in their diaspora. Their experiences expand across discussions of immigration, identity, family relationships, queerness, and more.
