Special Moments reflects life in the 21st century through the eyes of Whitney Kerr, a mid-career painter and explorer. The collection captures fleeting, often overlooked moments — drawn from abandoned places, quiet encounters, and everyday inspiration. Most works begin with Kerr’s photographs, taken to preserve a certain light or mood.

Each painting stands alone but shares a common thread: witnessing and preserving a moment. Some are painted on found materials, rich with their own histories; others on canvas, when the image itself takes priority.
