Born in Jalisco, Mexico, and raised in Chicago, Mauricio “Mo” Zúñiga creates textured, surreal compositions using wall plaster, varnish, and house paint — materials inspired by construction sites. His work blends dreams, symbolism, and bold aesthetics, earning national and international recognition. “I challenge myself to create… using common materials, not expensive art stuff.” In the same spirit, he embraces a heresy of the art exhibition world and invites viewers to touch his artwork — come experience it for yourself.
