Grünauer is a classic Viennese style Gasthaus with Central European influences of German, Hugarian, and international specialties. Nicholas Grünauer and sister Elisabeth opened Grünauer in May of 2010. Their father is from Austria and their cousin still runs their 3rd generation family restaurant in the Neubau neighborhood of Vienna. The menu offers simple, straight-forward cuisine high-lighting some of the best specialties Central Europe has to offer. The Wunder Bar offers an array of wines, beer, and spirits unlike any other restaurant in Kansas City.
