Big Dad Energy — LIVE RECORDING

September 28, 2022 By Brandon@TheBirdKC.com

GET TICKETS!!!

When Jamie Campbell’s stand-up show Big Dad Energy debuted at the Kansas City Fringe Festival earlier this year, it received acclaim from audiences and critics alike, eventually being named “Best of Fringe.” Now, Jamie has teamed with a top notch production team for a very special live recording of his show for an upcoming streaming release.

The Big Dad Energy LIVE RECORDING happens at The Bird Comedy Theater at 7:30pm on Thanksgiving Eve. That’s Wednesday, November 23rd. The show is rated PG-13 and contains some adult themes and innuendo, but nothing graphic or explicit. It’s the perfect escape for the adults in your family on the night before Thanksgiving.

About Big Dad Energy:

Jamie Campbellis not your father. He’s not ANYBODY’S father. But, he sure seems like he could be. In a show that combines stand-up, storytelling, and a touch of musical comedy, the critically-acclaimed comedian leaps into what it’s like to get married in your 40s and realize parenthood is not going to happen. He discusses why he is proud of the younger generation, recalls the days when teachers were allowed to spank students, and dishes deep on the time he took acid at Disney World.

“Possibly the most positive stand-up act in existence, this show seeks to build up instead of tear down. Tactically calculated jokes land with a precision that leaves you with a belly laugh long after the joke is over. Slick, polished, and professional, it sets the bar high.” — Luke Dodge, KCFringe reviewer

About Jamie Campbell:

Jamie Campbell is a nationally touring stand-up comedian, actor, screenwriter, storyteller, and improviser. His debut album, Tell Me You’re Proud of Me, debuted at #1 on Amazon’s comedy charts. In Chicago, where he began his career, he was named the city’s “Best Stand-Up Comedian” by The Chicago Reader. You may recognize him from numerous television commercials, or his appearances on NBC’s Chicago Fire and Pop TV’s Hollywood Darlings. He has shared the stage or worked on projects with countless legendary names in comedy and entertainment including Hannibal Buress, Cameron Esposito, Oscar Isaac, Chris Redd, Tech N9ne, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and Dana Carvey.
