Tap Into Your Wild Side!

April 29, 2025 By lara@casualanimalbrewing.com

Tap into your wild side at Casual Animal Brewing Company where local beer, plants, and art intersect! Our taproom brims with floor to ceiling greenhouse vibes and graphic design. Enjoy a pint or flight of our 11 rotating taps, including our Local Motive beer where $2 of every pint is donated to a different KC non-profit every two months.

This month, every pint of the Local Motive Hazy IPA benefits WeCodeKC, working to bridge the digital divide by providing youth in our community with access to technology, education, and mentorship. WeCodeKC believes that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a digital world, and they are committed to making that vision a reality through engaging programs, hands-on learning, and real world experiences. Meet some WeCodeKC representatives onsite 5 – 8pm to learn more about the organization, volunteer opportunities, and upcoming events.

FOOD: Cerberus KC will be our featured food pop-up with their famous “tacos”: the Cubano and the Big Whiz! Food starts at 5pm until they sell out!

MORE ADVOCACY: Engage with Moms Demand Action and Grandparents For Gun Safety at their info tables to learn about their Wear Orange campaign coming up this June, volunteer opportunities, and how to make a difference on this difficult issue that affects all of us.

First Friday: “How We Cope” Art by Ada Koch, Monika Teal, and Tj Templeton

April 24, 2025 By thebunkercenter@gmail.com

How We Cope is a three-artist examination of what motivates an artist to continue creating in the face of tragedy, adversity, and the challenges that life throws at us. How do we remain resilient and continue to create when the world pulls the rug out from under you? How does one continue to create in the face of loss?

Taking the concept of art therapy to the extreme, three artists come together to share their creative coping mechanisms and the creative output inspired by their recent struggles.

Gallery Hours are 12 – 6 p.m. everyday except Monday and Tuesday
