Maia Ades — Art/Photo Exhibit
Born in San Francisco California, Maia Ades was around various creatives who were friends of her mother. These friends were painters, poets, writers, filmmakers and book printers. It was the sixties and creativity ran wild in the Haight-Ashbury area. Exposed to so many art forms at such an early age, gave her an appreciation for an array of arts.
In 1969 Ibiza, Spain became home for Maia and her mother. The influences of old European architecture, the pageantry of festivals and living by the sea can still be seen in her work today.

First Friday Opening Reception: MO Fiber Artists group show
Join us on First Friday to celebrate the opening of the Missouri Fiber Artists group exhibition: “Contemplations”.
The individual members of MOFA were presented a challenge to each create a book for this exhibition. The books range from traditional to the unconventional. Some are suspended from the ceiling, while others are on pedestals or on the wall. This exhibition contains a spectrum of techniques and approaches.
Missouri Fiber Artists (MoFA) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to promote statewide communication among individuals and groups participating in all aspects of the fiber arts. Since 1978, we have been celebrating all of the fiber arts through our quarterly newsletter and bi-annual conference, retreat and regular membership exhibitions.
