Join us for ONE DAY ONLY for Merry Science Day! On Saturday, December 13th enjoy a cheerful day of science with the whole family. Featuring hands-on demonstrations, educator-led activities, a special Laser Holiday Magic Show (separate ticket required) and a jolly good time! See the full schedule below:

    Merry Science Day Activities:

Creative Corner: Gift Bag Bedazzlement – Create your very own gift bag, perfect for the holiday season. Use the art supplies provided to decorate your very own bag that you can take home and use to give a gift this year!

    Maker Studio:

Binary Code Bracelets – Learn how to code using different colored 3D printed beads to create a festive holiday bracelet.

    Nature Works:

Deep Freeze – Learn about the various ways that animals “freeze” themselves, or keep themselves from freezing, in order to adapt and survive the cold winter months.

    Early Learning:

Do You Want to Build a Snowflake? – Little learners will learn about how snowflakes form, create their very own snowflake out of marshmallows and toothpicks, and even draw in “snow” that doesn’t melt!

    Periodic Table:

Santa Down the Chimney – See how a balloon, a little fire, and a lot of pressure helps jolly old St. Nick slide down the chimney in this science experiment.

    Tapped Out Classroom:

Act Natural: Snowy with a Chance of Mayhem — Explorers will pick or create “snowball” prompts to inspire their improv scenes, answering: “Just like the weather, plans are hard to predict! What are your holiday plans, and what storms might blow in?” The color of each snowball will determine the pace of each scene (Blue snowballs = slow motion, light blue = regular pace, and white = speed scene).
