May 4th is a dual holiday this year in the Pop Culture Community. First, it is Free Comic Book Day across the entire country. Thousands of shops in the US will be giving away at least one free comic book to patrons who visit their shops that day, including Kansas City’s newest store, Crossroads Comics and Art. We will have variety of free comics available to the public, as well as big sales, giveaways, raffles, and prizes. Many stores in the area will offer fun events and specials for customers that day.

Secondly, that day is also “May the 4th” or “Star Wars Day” An unofficial holiday that has evolved from the Star Wars phrase, “May the force be with you” (May the 4th be with you).

We at Crossroads Comics and Art will have a variety of hard to find Star Wars items in stock that you won’t find anywhere else in the Metro. These items will include original production binder storyboards from “Empire Strikes Back,” Star Wars Sericels, and an original sketch used in the production of “Star Wars: Clone Wars.” In addition we will have Star Wars themed jewelry, comic books and more. You might even find a Mandalorian or other characters here for fun and photos.
