Rex grew up in a small northwestern Missouri town. These roots can be found in his lyrics and songs that he writes. With his brother, Benny, they created Exit 13 Band. It began as a family garage band and has grown to play in the surrounding Kansas City area and Oklahoma. Rex was accepted to play the 20th Anniversary of the Woody Guthrie Festival in Okemah Ok., a song writers festival. Rex also performs solo playing his original music.
