“I DON’T KNOW IF I’VE EVER MADE A GREAT PIECE OF ART –
BUT IF I CREATE AN IMAGE THAT EVOKES A POSITIVE EMOTION,
THAT ART IS A SUCCESS AS FAR AS I’M CONCERNED.”
Jack Hayhow
“I was born and raised in Kansas City and I love the people and places of this remarkable community. So many memories. Summer evenings in Shawnee Mission Park. Wandering the halls of The Nelson. Thrills and fun watching the Royals – at Municipal Stadium across the street from Bryant’s and at The K. Beautiful spring mornings in Loose Park. I could go on forever. I hope these images of Kansas City bring you a smile and a happy memory.”
Jack Hayhow has had the opportunity to photograph a wide variety of subjects and locations and he treasure them all. We’ve organized some of these subjects and locations into Collections – Street Art, Landscape and Nostalgia. We hope you enjoy the images.
These images began as photographs. Using digital tools, Jack Hayhow transforms them into digital paintings which he then embellishes by hand using acrylic medium. The result, he hopes pays tribute to the Impressionist painters he so admires.
