Belger Arts is pleased to open its newest location, the Belger Glass Annex, with a Halloween-themed community event on Saturday, October 30, 6 pm to 9 pm at 1219 East 19th Street, Kansas City, MO 64108. The public is invited to a fun-filled evening that includes glass blowing demonstrations, tours of the new Glass Annex, mingling with glass artists, refreshments, and the sale of glass pumpkins.
The Belger Glass Annex is the first public glass blowing studio in Kansas City of its scale and scope. The new facility boasts state of the art glass blowing equipment and tools, a furnace that holds 300 pounds of molten glass, and three work stations, making it an ideal location for teaching classes and hosting visiting artists.
Belger Arts is known for its contemporary art exhibitions, ceramics studios and related educational programming. The addition of the Glass Annex creates a unique opportunity for the cross pollination of ideas and materials across multiple art mediums. The Belger Glass Annex is primed to be a Midwest hub for glass art, education and appreciation, strengthening Kansas City’s reputation as an arts destination.
Classes begin on October 20th. To schedule a visit and to learn more about classes, please visit BelgerArts.org or call 816 – 474-7316.
