The building that The Sundry now calls home was built in 1930 as a jazz club called The Stork Club. It was large enough to hold big band style jazz, which became it’s niche in the Kansas City jazz scene. With the tagline “Kansas City’s Finest Supper Club”, we knew immediately that we needed to honor the building’s history. The logo you see above is a slightly-modernized replica of the jazz club’s original mark.
The Stork Club is perched above The Sundry. The space is approximately 1450 square feet with a 50 person capacity. It is well suited to host many types of events:
- Wedding rehearsal dinners
- Private cooking classes
- Business meetings & retreats
- Business team building events
- Holiday parties
- Art galleries
